I am happy to be given a chance to present my new, colorful illustrations and pictures to you. These pictures bring color, happiness and movement to all the places in which children play, wait, dream or are given a space to be creative in: Schools, nursery schools, pediatric wards or practices, and the children’s rooms in their own homes. My wallpaper-pictures, that are available in various sizes, inspire children and adults alike. They enchant a room, turning it into an oasis of well being.
Michaela Hüttich first made herself known as a violinist and the founder and leader of the Palace Orchestra with Max Raabe in Berlin. This experience was followed by 15 years of work as a concertmaster in a German Opera and Symphony Orchestra. She also conducted big opera projects with children and youth.
Michaela had grown up in an artistic family. So, music was not her only way into the arts. At an early age, she learnt to draw and paint together with her father Harald Hüttich, who was working as a sculptor and painter, as well as having a career as an art therapist. Working with children has always been an important part of Michaela Hüttichs life. She worked as a music therapist, as a pedagogue at the music school Steglitz in Berlin. She has led children’s and youth’s projects with operas and concerts in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Asia. Her last success was bringing the “Zauberflöte” by W.A: Mozart to life, on stage in Taiwan, with a group of 400 children.
